Q1 How can I get hold of your Prospectus?
A1 You can now download a PDF copy of the prospectus by clicking here.
Q2 Is One mostly vocational?
A2 No. Suffolk One will teach an equal mix of academic and applied learning. We're expecting student numbers to be about 50:50. Check out our provisional Courses list and you'll find a massive range of AS/A levels as well as the International Baccalaureate, alongside Diplomas and other applied programmes. In practice, the curriculum is so broad that our students will be able to ‘mix and match' both academic and applied disciplines to suit their individual talents and ambitions. We aim to give every student the best two years possible.
Q3 Will I just study my subjects?
A3 NO. There will be considerable opportunities to be involved in the Suffolk One’s life outside of lesson time. Every Wednesday afternoon, students will participate in an enrichment programme offering enjoyment and the chance to earn new skills. This could include playing sport, participating in the creative arts, learning sign language, gaining an introduction to Forensic Science or Architecture. It could be a chance to access parts of Suffolk One – the vehicle workshop, the photography studio, the hair and beauty salon – that you do not visit in your normal lessons.
