Suffolk One team begins to take shape
The brand new Suffolk One team is beginning to take shape and staff members met up for this first time ever in front of the £60 million pound educational site earlier this week.
The team had a quick tour of the new facility that will offer a host of learning opportunities for students throughout the region.
New facilities at the state of the art building include two recording studios, a performing arts centre, an indoor sports hall and a host of other areas.
After the tour, employees were joined by a ‘Suffolk One' bus for their first ever ‘team photo' as they look ahead to the opening of the 16 to 19 learning centre in September 2010.
"It was great for everyone to come together and there was a real buzz amongst the staff," said Principal, Alan Whittaker.
"The building is on target and it is amazing to see how quickly all the areas are beginning to take shape."
"The staff we have employed all have an excellent track record in education, and we will all be doing our best to make sure that students that choose Suffolk One have not only excellent facilities to thrive within and superb support, but quality teaching that will help them progress, succeed and achieve their ambitions."
Suffolk One has an information event on Monday 22nd March that will take place at Willis in Ipswich from 5.00pm - 8.00pm.
Suffolk One will be offering 46 A-level subjects, with a wide range of applied learning courses including Diplomas.
